Our mission is to provide our clients with superior service in all aspects of raising capital, and a major element of that is helping to obtain, purchase, and sell tax credits. We strive to create an efficient marketplace where both buyer and seller receive

what is promised in a timely fashion. We use our knowledge and experience to help our clients overcome any difficulty throughout the process. As a Pennsylvania based company with accounting experience, we understand the Pennsylvania tax code and processes and work closely with the Department of Revenue to quickly resolve any tax related challenges. Our professionalism and integrity set us apart as the leader in the Pennsylvania tax credit industry.

OUR HISTORY

KIZ Resources, LLC is a full-service government incentives firm that was founded in 2006 because few companies were taking advantage of the many incentive programs available in Pennsylvania. Our firm assisted several businesses through Pennsylvania’s first-ever KIZ Tax Credit sale in February of 2007. Since then, we have grown to become one of Pennsylvania’s most successful tax credit transfer firms, completing over $10 million in tax credit transfers each year. Today, we work to help companies leverage funding through many sources. While our primary focus is on Pennsylvania programs, we also assist with some federal programs and are dedicated to helping companies identify the programs that best fit their company’s growth goals. Our commitment to integrity and quality ensures you receive the best service.

John Horell

 EA, President

John is the President of KIZ Resources, LLC and co-founder of the Alleghenies Angel Fund. With fifteen years of professional experience, John has contributed to the development of Pennsylvania’s transferable tax credit industry. With technical tax training as an Enrolled Agent, John serves as tax advisor to numerous companies located across the United States who buy and sell Pennsylvania Tax Credits.

 

John has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University.In 2011, John received the Saint Francis University Small Business Development Center & Center for Global Competitiveness Financial Services Advocate of the Year award. A strong advocate for small business, he volunteers his time to various entrepreneurial organizations.

 

John resides in Altoona with his wife and two daughters.

Rachelle Reasy

Director of Business Development

Rachelle Reasy is the Director of Business Development at KIZ Resources, LLC. Prior to joining KIZ Resources, Rachelle graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management with minors in Accounting and Economics in 2014. She began her full-time career with KIZ Resources in 2015. In her current role, Rachelle works to recruit and onboard new clients, works with clients to determine which incentive programs are best for their project, and travels to represent the company at various events. 

Rachelle volunteers her time to the Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Fund. Rachelle lives in Altoona, Pennsylvania with her husband Darin and her dog Watson. In her free time, Rachelle enjoys reading, playing video games, and going to the beach.

Lindsey Bennett 

Director Of Operations

Lindsey Bennett received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 2008 from The Pennsylvania State University. Majoring in Business with a focus on Management and Marketing, she completed her degree in three and a half years and was the Student Marshall of her graduating class for the Business College. In 2009, she began her professional career at KIZ Resources, LLC. Her current position as Director of Operations allows her to work with a wide range of clients and programs.

 

Lindsey volunteers her time with the local Chamber Farm-City committee, in an effort to offer education and collaboration between the business and farm communities. She also spends time throughout the year teaching seminars to educate companies, accountants, and financial advisors on available incentive programs. Lindsey loves to spend her free time at home in Tipton with her husband Andrew and their two children, Annika and Oliver.

Tori Montler

Director of HR Services

Tori Montler received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management and a minor in Entrepreneurship from Penn State Altoona in 2016. She obtained her Master's degree in Human Resource Management from Saint Francis University in 2020. In her role at KIZ Resources, Tori coordinates marketing and customer service efforts to ensure a smooth experience for clients. She designs marketing material and assists with the overall creation and implementation of various marketing initiatives. She also acts as an HR consultant for the company and its clients.

 

Tori volunteers her time as a Board Member on the Penn State Altoona Alumni Society Board of Directors. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, and traveling. Tori resides in Altoona with her husband, Sean.
